Get up close to goats at a dairy farm
If your children have never seen a goat in real life, Hay Dairies is the place to bring them. The Lim Chu Kang farm has been around since 1988 and is the only goat farm in Singapore that produces fresh goat milk. It houses over 800 different goat breeds which hail from Minnesota, America. Join a tour and learn about these gentle farm animals, sample some goat milk and learn what a day in the life of a goat farmer is like. Tip: go before 10.30am to witness the milking process.

Swop your child’s old books for some new ones at this weekend book swop organised by The Learning Caravan. Bring your child and a few picture books – you’ll receive a bookmark for every book you bring, which lets you pick a new book. The book swop is also a great way to make friends. Cap off the Chinese New Year festivities with a lion dance
Bid goodbye to Chinese New Year with a roar by taking part in the iconic lion dance. Your child will get to revel in the Chinese New Year festivities one last time while donning the lion dance headgear and attempting the movements. Experienced instructors from Hong Jie Association will be on hand to guide children on the steps.

Discover the rich ecosystem and wildlife of Chek Jawa
It’s World Wetlands Day this Saturday and what better way to mark it than with a guided boardwalk tour of Chek Jawa? Learn about the six ecosystems and diverse wildlife that live there, and try spotting some of them, such as mudskippers and kingfishers. Don’t forget to arm yourself with plenty of insect repellent, water and a cap. The tour is free and limited to 45 people; just show up at the Chek Jawa Visitor Centre on Pulau Ubin.
