What happens when Koko goes on an adventure with a pot for a helmet and wielding a spatula as a sword? Find out in this imaginative play filled with sing-alongs, surprises and more! Based on the children’s book by Natalie Hennedige and inspired by Singaporean artist Liu Kang’s oil painting, Life by the River.

Be mesmerised by stories of shiny and bright objects
Join storyteller Kamini Ramachandran as she regales your child with tales of animals and the shiny objects they are attracted to. Great for children aged four to eight.

Relax with an afternoon of xinyao classics
With home being the theme for August, join community band Novo Winds as they relive a bygone era in Singapore’s music scene with a medley of xinyao classics. Admission is free.

Check out a festival on all things illustration
If illustration is your cup of tea, be sure to pop by the Illustration Arts Fest. There’ll be a book signing by Drewscape, the creator of parenting comics The Ollie Comics, workshops and talks by local illustrators, as well as an artists market.

See the Civic District come alive with art and performances
Missed the first weekend of the Civic District Outdoor Festival last week? You still have time to catch the festivities over the next two days! Go on a storytelling walk with a dinosaur
