School’s out and play’s in! Welcome the June holidays with fun craft activities, a meet-and-greet with your favourite Nick Jr. characters, a sleepover at the Zoo or Night Safari and more.

Indulge in child’s play at the National Museum
It’s out with the schoolbooks and in with play this June holidays when the annual Children’s Season returns to the National Museum! Take a walk down memory lane with a trail of nostalgic family spots in the 1970s and 1980s, fun animation workshops, an interactive roving theatre of the museum’s galleries and more. Parents, you’re encouraged to be a child again as you and your kids check out the various exhibits.

Learn about the contributions of Singapore’s pioneers
Let the past come alive for your little ones through vivid storytelling! Be entertained by dramatic and colourful tales of Singapore’s history and heritage by early childhood educators from Wheelock College. Afterwards, join in the activities on-site or take away craft materials to try at home. Do note that registration starts at 2pm outside the Singapore History Gallery and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each session is limited to 20 children aged five to 12.

Meet and interact with your favourite Nick Jr. characters
Mark 26 May to 26 June down in your calendar, for that’s when the puppies from PAW Patrol and vehicles from Blaze & The Monster Machines will be at City Square Mall to spread some June holiday cheer! Kids who dress up as a PAW Patrol recruit stand a chance to be part of the mall’s PAW Patrol Rescue Mission to save a puppy from a burning building. Meanwhile, maths and science-inclined youngsters can put their skills to the test to solve scientific challenges at the Axle City mechanic workshop. There’s also a meet-and-greet with the PAW Patrol cast and a carnival with rides and photo taking sessions.

Bring out the craft-holic in you
Crafty kids and parents, the craft activities by SAFRA Mount Faber should pique your interest! Sign up for a stamp making workshop, get acquainted with the art of brush lettering, learn the basics of terrarium making, create your own string art and more. Use the June holidays to pick up new craft skills with your child!

Make it a Family Day this Sunday
Make your way down to the Civic District this weekend for the Families for Life Celebrations 2017, held in conjunction with Car-Free Sunday. Have a sleepover with animals
Here’s a sleepover with a twist – snooze amid animals from the Singapore Zoo, River Safari or Night Safari! Drift off to sleep in a pitched tent under the stars to the gentle roar of the lion, slumber with the  wildlife of the Amazon flooded forest or embark on a glamping adventure at the Night Safari.

Discover the heroic stories hidden in Beethoven’s music
This 50-minute concert is a great way to introduce your child to the music of Beethoven, along with the heroic stories that inspired the compositions. It’s also an opportunity for them to learn about the different string instruments in a string quartet. For children aged 12 and below only. Adults are allowed to accompany children aged four and below.

Go colour crazy at an art festival
Flex those colouring muscles at the first-ever Faber-Castell Art Festival happening this weekend! Aimed at inspiring parents and children to embrace art in its myriad forms, the activities include workshops with local and international artists, an exhibition showcasing local creatives and a family colouring competition. If you’re looking to stock up on colouring materials, there’ll be a wide range of Faber-Castell products on sale. You’ll get to do your part for a good cause too, as a portion of the proceeds from artwork sales will go towards the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
